WELCOME. Forse House, the first Residential Nursing Home for people with learning disabilities and learning difficulties, opened its doors in October 1986, amidst great changes in the care provided for this client group. Prior to opening Forse, Derek and June worked in local hospitals in Inverness having completed their nursing training in General Learning Disabilities and Psychiatric field.

 Due to the constant cutbacks and staff shortages within the N.H.S, they became frustrated by the lack of service being provided to the client group and decided to look into opening a facility that could provide their clients with the lifestyle they were entitled to including a tailor-made care package to meet all of their clients needs including development to help them reach their maximum potential and perhaps move on to a more independent setting.
